Belgrave was appointed by Berkeley Square Developments and Notting Hill Housing to provide community engagement for their separate applications that comprised the Ashley Road South Masterplan. The area is currently mainly home to low grade light industrial buildings and their associated yards.
The Notting Hill proposal was for upwards of 265 new homes and 3,600m2 of commercial floorspace whilst Berkeley Square Developments sought permission for up to 377 new homes, 1,121 sqm of commercial/retail space and 6,000 sqm for the new home for the ADA National College for Digital Skills.
Over the course of a year and a half, eight days of exhibitions were held, along with presentations to local Friends groups, the Haringey Design Panel, neighbouring schools, Ward Councillors and the Cabinet member for Regeneration.
At two separate planning committees both applications were approved.
